Yeji Kim

Second Assistant Concertmaster

Violinist Yeji Kim joined the BPO as 2nd Assistant Concertmaster in 2024. Prior to joining the BPO, Yeji played for the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. She obtained her Bachelor and Master of Music from Peabody Conservatory, studying with Victor Danchenko and Keng-Yuen Tseng. She then received her Professional Studies Certificate in the Concertmaster Track at San Francisco Conservatory of Music, studying with Alexander Barantschik and Chen Zhao. She also obtained a double degree at the Johns Hopkins University alongside Peabody, where she studied cognitive science.

Yeji has performed across Europe, Asia, and the U.S. in various festivals and orchestral engagements, including Pacific Music Festival, Aspen Music Festival, Vivace Music Festival, and Meadowmount Music Festival. Besides orchestra, she loves to teach and perform chamber music, and inspire younger musicians and audiences.
